Business Development/Engagement Manager

YOUR ROLE

The Business Development/Engagement Manager is responsible for representing the unique service model and culture of Sundog to its clients and key prospects to generate sales pipeline and hit new business sales goals contributing to Sundog’s client success and continued revenue growth.

The Business Development/Engagement Manager responsibilities include:

+   Promote Sundog’s unique service model with the goal of developing sales pipeline, closing new business, and developing long term strategic account relationships with clients..

+   Cultivate and manage relationships with Sundog’s strategic partners and work closely with Sundog’s Partner Alliance Manager to create, nurture and close sales pipeline opportunities in our partner channels.

+   Plan and present new business approaches and pitches that will inform and persuade prospects and channel partners of Sundog’s expertise and unique value.

+   Work closely with Sundog’s consulting team to understand and document client’s business requirements and create long term strategic growth plans.

+   Provide clear communication to ensure that account objectives are met or exceeded.

+   Achieve new business and account growth goals each year.

+   Create and negotiate Statements of Work, Master Service Agreements and Support Contracts on assigned accounts.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE SUNDOG TABLE

+ You have a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or a related field.  An advanced degree or specialized training related to business, marketing, or sales is highly desirable.

+ You have 6-10 years of successful sales experience in progressively more challenging positions, with an emphasis on corporate growth.

+ You have experience working in complex sales environments, specifically joint selling in a partner channel sales environment

+ You have had relevant consultative sales experience in the marketing and/or technology industry.

+ You have practical experience in account based marketing, and can understand and promote the need to use technology to reach client goals.

+ You have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills.

+ Deep understanding of the manufacturing industry and B2B marketing world that allows you to build meaningful and strategic relationships with prospects.

+ You have a history of consistently and successfully executing on tactical marketing plans, including increased business development and sales, and exceeding account objectives for clients.

+ You possess superior critical and analytical thinking skills.

+ You are able to handle stressful situations and tight deadlines, learn quickly, and maintain a positive, professional attitude in all situations.

+ You offer a proven track record of driving operational excellence, high customer-satisfaction levels, and client relationships that, by nature, are more long-term partnerships vs. short-term projects.

+ You have the skills to build collaborative relationships with Sundog colleagues, third-party vendors, and the client’s management teams to solve client problems.

+ You have demonstrated the ability to conceptualize, analyze, and synthesize information in such a way that helps the Sundog team create integrated solutions in unique and effective ways for our clients.

+ Preferred, but not required:  You have a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry and B2B marketing world that allows you to build meaningful and strategic relationships with prospects.

  

A BIT MORE INFORMATION

+ Travel by the client engagement team is a strategic priority to assist clients and Sundog in meeting objectives. You will need to be available for travel for building client relationships and for presenting Sundog solutions at sales-related activities, conferences, trade-shows, and other key meetings.

+ This position is based in our Minneapolis office. Monthly on-site visits to our Fargo-based headquarters are required for team members not located in Fargo.
