Associate Project Manager

As an Associate Project Manager, you are responsible for the support, quality control and management of marketing efforts for Sundog’s clients. You are most comfortable in fast-paced environment. Working closely with our Client Consultants, Analysts, Web Engineers and Creatives, you are passionate about marketing campaigns and ecommerce initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, marketing projects, campaigns, ecommerce initiatives, email marketing, online media and promotional support. You thrive on serving as our virtual “air traffic controller” to keep projects, tasks, budgets, schedules teams and clients all focused and arriving at their destinations on time.  You love “being in the trenches” with our clients and teams daily as a key point of contact. You don’t cringe at 35+ hours of billable time each week.

  • You are methodical and organized, comfortably coordinating multiple projects, priorities and resources.
  • You are comfortable answering questions from colleagues and clients, or equally confident finding the answers if you don’t.
  • You identify issues or actions required ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery of projects.
  • You are able to clearly communicate to the project team and client any issues that may impact scope, budget or timeliness of delivery for projects.
  • You are passionate about setting and communicating priorities to a project team that will drive a project’s success.
  • You are comfortable resolving prioritization conflicts within projects as well as resource allocation conflicts across projects.
  • You can translate client feedback into a successful deliverable.
  • You have the background and education to be successful:
    • Four-year college degree in advertising, marketing, communications or business.
    • Up to 1+ year related work experience in marketing or business.
    • You are a strong team player who appreciates being surrounded by a strong team of experts.
    • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • You have a sense of humor and a work-hard/play-hard mindset.  
    • You can handle stressful situations and tight deadlines, learn quickly and possess a positive, professional attitude.

  • Work with the project team to execute project scope and objectives for client and internal team members.
  • Identify key deliverables, create estimates and timelines and assign responsibilities.
  • Support team or act as a liaison between clients and other internal/external groups for all solution requirements and communications.
  • Define and coordinate budgets.
  • Work effectively and collaboratively with other departments.
  • Build and maintain strong, effective relationships with clients and co-workers.
  • Ensure that project/timeline risks are exposed, understood and mitigated.
  • Support the running of project meetings, clearly communicating agenda and results of meetings to all participants.
  • Make scope/schedule/resources (including budget) trade-off decisions using available information, according to policy.
  • Coordinate, support and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Schedule and take part in or lead project meetings, clearly communicating agenda and results of meetings to all participants.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
