Business Development/Channel Sales - Salesforce/Sitecore


The Business Development/Channel Sales role promotes Sundog’s service model to our prospects and strategic technology partners, including Salesforce and Sitecore, with the goal of initiating strategic account relationships. The role will leverage relationships within our key partners to find new business prospects and close sales opportunities. The Business Development/Channel sales role is part of Sundog’s Client Acquisition team and reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

+   Provide clear communication to ensure that both prospects and partners clearly understand Sundog’s value proposition.

+   Penetrate new channels, and markets within those channels, to expand business growth opportunities through building relationships and proving value.

+   Influence Sundog’s prospect pipeline and net new revenue generation through partner channels to achieve and exceed sales and lead generation goals.

+   Maintain relationships partner leadership and, more specifically, inside the Salesforce ecosystem, including, Sales Team (AVP, RVP, AE relationship).

+  Map and understand the relationships inside the partner organization to ensure consistent and guided engagement with the Client Acquisition team on strategic accounts and prospects.

+  Build relationships and facilitate communications with senior-level business leaders, including C-Suite executives

+  Advise executive leaders of activities and trends in our partner channels to help influence business strategy.

+ Responsible for expanding relationships within new accounts, beyond project teams. Identify and reach decision makers.

+ Actively manage risks and client relationships within new accounts that can transform or detract from client growth.

+ Prospecting for new clients by networking, cold calling to support account based marketing, and engage in others means of generating interest from potential clients, i.e. conferences, user groups, tradeshows

+ You have a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, technology, or a related field. An advanced degree or specialized training related to business, marketing, or sales is highly desirable.

+ You have 10+ years of successful sales experience in progressively more challenging positions, with an emphasis on corporate growth.

+ You have experience working in complex sales environments, specifically joint selling in a partner channel sales environment.

+ You have had relevant consultative sales experience in the marketing and/or technology industry.

+ You have practical experience in account based marketing, and can understand and promote the need to use technology to reach client goals.

+ You have successfully worked in teams and have outstanding listening and communication skills.

+ Deep understanding of the channel sales environment and the B2B marketing world that allows you to build meaningful and strategic relationships with prospects.

+ You have a history of consistently and successfully executing on tactical marketing plans, including increased business development and sales, and exceeding account objectives for clients.

+ You possess superior critical and analytical thinking skills.

+ You are able to handle stressful situations and tight deadlines, learn quickly, and maintain a positive, professional attitude in all situations.

+ You offer a proven track record of driving operational excellence, high customer-satisfaction levels, and client relationships that, by nature, are more long-term partnerships vs. short-term projects.

+ You have the skills to build collaborative relationships with Sundog colleagues, third-party vendors, and the client’s management teams to solve client problems.

+ You have demonstrated the ability to conceptualize, analyze, and synthesize information in such a way that helps the Sundog team create integrated solutions in unique and effective ways for our clients.



+ Travel by the client engagement team is a strategic priority to assist clients and Sundog in meeting objectives. You will need to be available for travel for building client relationships and for presenting Sundog solutions at sales-related activities, conferences, trade-shows, and other key meetings.
